It's been a while

Wow, it's been a while since I've posted on here. Here's a pic of the new addition until I get some time to post some tidbits on the last few months of life.

My buddy

As I took a look back at some pictures of my son from the past few months and even from when he was born, it's amazing how much he has grown. From the little guy that only weighed 9 pounds when he was born to the 27+ pound sack of potatoes he is now, he is the best little guy any dad could ever hope for.

Too busy

I seem to have prepared myself an overflowing plate of life again. Don't you just wish sometimes that there were about 2 more days in a week and 4 more hours in a day? Balancing family, softball, work, freelance and "me" time is a very difficult and delicate task. If one gets out of balance, then someone isn't happy.....usually me. *cue Debbie Downer clip*

Anyhow, starting Friday I begin the weight loss program w/ Methodist. I am determined to do whatever it takes this time to lose some weight and get healthy. My goal is going to be 50 pounds over the next 5 months and hopefully I can just keep it going after that. I've come to the point of disgust with my current health situation and want to make sure I'm around long enough to see my son grow up. It's so hard to do because I'm a fan of food, but when it comes to living or dying young, I think the choice is obviously clear.

Signing off for today.

Apple does it again

From www.macworld.com: Several new products were introduced Wednesday, as Apple partnered with Motorola on an iTunes mobile phone—the 100-song ROKR—that can play digital music and was described by Steve Jobs as an iPod shuffle on your phone. The event also saw the the release of the sleek new iPod nano and iTunes 5.

And I say: "Holy Moly"

The Heat is ON!

Whoa! It hit me like a brick wall this morning. I walked up the stairs to work and BAM! It's 80 degrees. I think someone broke the AC on the roof over the weekend. Hopefully it'll cool down a bit since it's supposed to be in the 90's today.

Isaiah's Birthday

Today is Isaiah's Birthday. 1 year old already. I can't believe it. Sunday night he took his first steps and I found myself holding back tears of joy. It's just so amazing to know that Rebekah and I created such a perfect little human being. If having a child doesn't open someones eyes to how real and amazing God is, I don't know what could. There have been so many memorable things happen in the past year. From the week we spent in the hospital after Isaiah was born, Grandpa going to Heaven, a new home, a new job, a new car....time has just flown by. I know that a year from now there will be a new set of memories to look back upon, and my goal is to make sure those memories are made as a family that is in love with God and each other.

Busy Summer

What a busy time it's been lately. Work, projects, softball, exercise. I guess it's just a sign that it's summer time and things are going smoothlly. I can't imagine not having things to do, and I think my life would be strange if I had alot of "free time" on my hands. This weekend is Jamin's wedding, next weekend is Father's Day, then Cornerstone two weeks after that and then vacation two weeks after that. Hopefully I can get caught up on some of my freelance work in the near future so we can have a little extra cabbage to do some fun things on the weekends. Back to work I must go.

Anniversary

3 years. Wow. I can't believe we've been married for 3 years already. Time has flown by very quickly with moving so much, new jobs, and of course a new addition to the family in Isaiah. I love you Bekah and I hope this 3 is the beginning of many years to come.
